This course introduces the historical and conceptual foundations of artificial intelligence (AI) and computing in education. Students examine the evolution of computing and machine learning in teaching and learning, from early instructional technologies to current AI applications. Topics include algorithms, data analytics, natural language processing, and generative AI tools that support personalized and adaptive instruction. Emphasis is placed on ethical and pedagogical considerations in designing and implementing AI-enhanced learning environments across educational settings.
