Catalog description

This course is an extension of DNAP 8100 Anesthesia Concepts I and includes the presentation of techniques and monitoring related to regional and cardiothoracic anesthesia. The advanced principles and techniques associated with each of these specialty areas of practice will be fully explored. Integration of didactic content will occur through the use of state-of-the-art computer simulation and DNAP 7850 Clinical Experience III and throughout the remainder of the program. Professional development opportunities occur through the attendance of local, state and national anesthesia meetings. Prerequisite : DNAP 8100. Co-requisite : DNAP 7850.
