Choreographic Process Across Forms

Catalog description

This course explores choreography through a variety of dance genres and stylistic frameworks, which can include jazz dance, hip hop, musical theatre, ballet, and contemporary. Students explore how genre conventions inform movement vocabulary, structure, musicality, and performance, while developing a unique, emerging choreographic voice. Prerequisite : DANC 1320 or permission of the instructor.
