Telemental Health Counseling

Catalog description

This course is designed to familiarize graduate students in counseling with the theoretical foundations, ethical considerations, and practical skills necessary for effective delivery of mental health counseling services using telemental health platforms. Students will explore the opportunities and challenges of providing counseling through telecommunication technologies, including videoconferencing. Emphasis will be placed on the development of essential competencies to deliver ethical, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based counseling services in a virtual environment.
