This high school credit course is the first semester of the second year of high school algebra. The course emphasizes applications of algebra and strategies for problem solving. Topics covered include real numbers, first degree equations and inequalities, linear functions and inequalities in two variables, systems of equations and inequalities, polynomials, and exponents and radicals.
