This course develops foundational reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Practice active reading, vocabulary development, grammar and basic technology use. Coursework includes reading informational and narrative texts and writing simple narratives, short essays and clear personal notes and letters, with emphasis on organized, accurate and cohesive communication.
