Prepare to transition into the role of Registered Nurse through written assignments, case studies, simulation and skills demonstrations. Continue to develop critical thinking skills through the Nursing Process. Review pharmacology, pathophysiology, laboratory values and therapeutic communication from an evidence-based practice perspective. Improve your confidence in performing a variety of basic nursing skills including physical assessment, aseptic and sterile technique, medication administration and intravenous therapy. Upon completion, students are required to perform a competent skills demonstration.
