Catalog description

This course is required when students require further clinical practice as they progress in the program. In consultation with an instructor, apply independent problem-solving skills to provide comprehensive care for both calculus and perio types of varying levels. This course continues to reinforce root detoxification using hand and ultrasonic instrumentation, manipulation of files, selection of dental implant prophylaxis treatment options, and administration of chemotherapeutic medications. Practice adapting care plans in order to accommodate patients with special needs.
