Introduces principles of argument, critical thinking, reflection, analytical reading, writing, and research practices needed for academic writing. Covers skills for managing the writing process and how to transfer learning to other disciplinary contexts for writing as part of first of a two-course sequence. Course equivalent to: B WRIT 132. Prerequisite: completion of Tacoma Writing Selection survey. Credit/no-credit only. Offered: AW.
