Catalog description

Examines changing causes and patterns of post-1965 immigration from global and interdisciplinary perspectives. Topics may include: role of immigrants in changing global economy; interactions between immigrants and residents in communities, schools, workplaces; challenges of adaptation for immigrant children; new forms of citizenship and national identity. Compares Europe and United States. Prerequisite: T SOC 165 or T SOC 265.
