Catalog description

Introduces linear algebra, including systems of linear equations; Gaussian elimination; matrices and matrix algebra; vectors; vector spaces; subspace of Euclidean space; linear independence; bases and dimension; orthogonality; eigenvectors; and eigenvalues. Applications to science, computer science, and social sciences are explored. Course overlaps with: MATH 208; BIS 231; and STMATH 208. Prerequisite: a minimum grade of 2.0 in either TMATH 125, MATH 125, TCSS 321, or CSE 321.
