Uses contemporary literary texts in translation, film, music, and art as a basis for exploring the way Spanish people construct their identity and relate to the outside world. Focuses on issues of gender, immigration, racism, terrorism and nationalisms form an interdisciplinary perspective. Taught in English. Course overlaps with: TSPAN 480.
