Provides theoretical and research foundations for effective equity-based mathematics instruction in K-8 classrooms. Emphasis on standards-based culturally responsive lesson design, curriculum adaptation, formative and summative assessment, power and participation, affirming multilingualism, discourse, differentiation strategies, and family/community engagement.
