Strategic Thinking and Game Theory

Catalog description

Introduces the concepts and applications of game theory, which examines strategic decision-making in competitive and cooperative situations. Focuses on non-calculus based techniques for understanding situations involving multiple decision-makers (players) and the outcomes of their interactions. Explores both cooperative and non-cooperative games, examining the concepts of Nash equilibrium, dominant strategies, and bargaining. Course overlaps with: ECON 485 and B BECN 469. Prerequisite: a minimum grade of 2.0 in either TECON 200, TBECON 220, or ECON 200.
