Interpersonal Skills for the Justice Practitioner

Focuses on skills needed to establish relationships with systems-involved individuals, including victims, and understand their experiences within a wider social context. Develops skills in interpersonal communications, empathic and collaborative relationship-building, cultural humility, and values-based practice. Explores current models of individual and systemic change. Cultivates a holistic practitioner identity. Prerequisite: a minimum grade of 2.0 in T CRIM 225.
