Catalog description

Introduction to the standard language. Emphasis on learning correct pronunciation and basic structure. Drill in oral use of the language. Open only to students who do not have any previous training in Chinese. Maximum 15 credits allowed between TCHIN 101; TCHIN 102; TCHIN 103; CHIN 121; and CHIN 134 (or equivalents). Maximum 20 credits allowed between TCHIN 101; TCHIN 102; TCHIN 103; CHIN 201; and CHIN 138 (or equivalents). Maximum 10 credits allowed between TCHIN 103; CHIN 201; and CHIN 222 (or equivalents). Course equivalent to: CHIN 103 and B CHIN 103. Course overlaps with: CHIN 113 and CHIN 133. Prerequisite: minimum grade of 2.0 in CHIN 102.
