Examines modern methods for synthesizing biologically active organic compounds such as pharmaceuticals and natural products. Explores reactivity of organometallic complexes and heterocycles in drug synthesis and strategies for creating libraries of structurally diverse molecules. Prerequisite: a minimum grade of 2.0 in T CHEM 271.
