Introduction to Computer Communication Networks

Catalog description

Covers computer network architectures, protocol layers, packet switching, network programming, transmission media, encoding systems, switching, multiple access arbitration. It also covers packet forwarding, routing, congestion control, and flow control. Transport protocols and end-to-end concept, network security are also discussed. Course overlaps with: T INFO 250; CSE 461; E E 419; and CSS 431. Prerequisite: either TCES 372 or TEE 372.
