Explore microbial diversity and the applied effects of microorganisms on the environment and human welfare. Topics include metabolic diversity, ecological interactions, biogeochemistry, microbial habitats, and waste treatment and bioremediation. Cannot be taken for credit if credit received for TESC 378. Prerequisite: either TESC 340 or T BIOL 340.
