Catalog description

Examines the molecular and cellular basis of mammalian immune systems, including its role during infection with microorganisms (i.e. bacteria, viruses and parasites). Additionally, this course discusses principles in vaccination and disease eradication as well as disorders of the immune system (i.e. autoimmunity, allergy and immunodeficiency). Course overlaps with: IMMUN 441. Prerequisite: a minimum grade of 1.5 in T BIOL 301; and a minimum grade of 1.5 in T BIOL 303.
