Catalog description
Many women and gender minorities feel outside of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields and continue to be underrepresented in STEM. This class explores intersectional challenges experienced by diverse populations in STEM fields and strategies to surmount those challenges at the individual and organizational levels. Students will develop tools to persevere, succeed, and support others as they pursue a career in STEM. Course overlaps with: GWSS 485/PHYS 451; GWSS 488; and T WOMN 211. Offered: AWSp.
