Catalog description

Focuses on the social and emotional aspects surrounding plagues and pandemics by exploring the perceived risk of infectious disease and whether that fear is based in scientific evidence. Examines the science, stigma, and misunderstanding of various infectious diseases including HIV, cholera, typhus, Ebola, Zika, and others. Course overlaps with: T HLTH 355.
