Catalog description

Covers physics and signal processing behind ultrasound imaging and therapy, including generation and propagation of ultrasound waves into the body, their reflection and subsequent signal processing of received signals, and reconstructed images of anatomy and blood flow. Students have an opportunity to work with simulated and real-world data and images produced from ultrasound systems. Course overlaps with: M E 525.
