Introduction to Electromagnetic Compatibility and Signal Integrity

Catalog description

Covers signal spectra, transmission line signal integrity, and nonideal behavior of components to understand conducted emissions. Students learn antenna theory of radiated emissions, susceptibility of circuits to conducted and radiated emissions, and concepts of electromagnetic interference and shielding. Pre-compliance test procedures presented to mitigate electromagnetic compatibility problems in the early design cycle of electronic systems. Prerequisite: a minimum grade of 2.0 in B EE 233; and a minimum grade of 2.0 in B EE 235; recommended: B EE 361.
