Catalog description

Provides an introduction to analysis and design of control systems with applications ranging across electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical systems. Topics include system modeling, performance and stability analysis using root locus, Bode and Nyquist plots, and designs of PID and lead-lag compensators. Course overlaps with: E E 447. Prerequisite: a minimum grade of 2.0 in B EE 200; a minimum grade of 2.0 in B EE 233; and a minimum grade of 1.7 in B EE 235.
