The second of two course sequence that builds understandings about literacy development and instruction. Focuses on reading for intermediate readers including comprehension, assessment, and remediation. Prerequisite: B EDUC 402; B EDUC 403; B EDUC 409; B EDUC 423; B EDUC 441; B WRIT 134 or ENGL 141; and either BIS 164, BIS 206, BIS 301, BIS 361, BIS 370, BIS 371, BIS 377, BIS 379, BIS 387, BIS 388, BIS 389, BIS 407, BIS 455, BIS 481, BIS 486, BIS 487, BIS 488, or BISCLA 384.
