Gathering, Analyzing, and Using Data in Education

Catalog description

In this course, you will be introduced to gathering, analyzing, using, critiquing educational data and drawing conclusions from it. To do this, we focus on two broad areas; descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. We will problematize the notion of "neutrality" in statistical analyses. We will examine ways in which bias in statistical analyses may perpetuate inequities and offer insights for practicing critical statistical analyses.
