Role of banks and non-bank financial institutions in the financial system; asset choices of banks and non-bank financial institutions; problems in the management of financial institutions with emphasis on commercial banks. Course equivalent to: ELCBUS 453. Prerequisite: a minimum grade of 1.7 in either B WRIT 135, ENGR 231, ENGL 141, or ENGL 182; and a minimum grade of 1.7 in B BUS 350.
