Catalog description
Presents the theory and practice of financial management, emphasizing computer-based modeling and forecasting. Uses spreadsheets and other software products to analyze the impacts of financial decisions related to financial statement analysis, cash budgeting, cost of capital, capital budgeting, and capital structure choices. Covers a variety of techniques such as sensitivity and scenario analysis, optimization methods, and regression analysis. Prerequisite: a minimum grade of 1.7 in either B WRIT 135, ENGR 231, ENGL 141, or ENGL 182; and a minimum grade of 1.7 in B BUS 350.
