Advanced Topics in Physics

3-credit computational lab co-requisite with Math 583: Understanding Information - Mathematics, Physics, and Computation. Students will gain the hands-on computing experience needed to fully participate in Math 583: Learning from Images and Signals to be offered in Spring 2026. Students must take both the course and the lab in some form. Students need not have any particular programming experience, but will be expected to fully engage with the simulations presented in this lab. These will start with simple mathematical experiments that the students can run, working up to their own custom experiments.
