RESP CRITICAL CARE II

Catalog description

Continuation of the care of critically ill patient, beginning with a review of adult and neo-natal ventilation procedures. This semester will deal with aspects of managing a patient on mechanical ventilation, inclusive of hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator waveform interpretation, and pharmacological interventions for ventilator patient as well as ventilation of the patient at home. The course will include a discussion on classification of mechanical ventilators and patient case studies.
