Catalog description

This theory course is an introduction to the use of pharmacological interventions in the promotion of patient health across the lifespan. Identified drug classificiations will be discussed, and the nurse's role in drug therapy will be explored. The nursing process will be reviewed as a means to assess, hypothesize, intervene, and evaluate patients' responses to drug administration. Clinical judgment will be explored through individual responses to drug therapy and variables which affect such responses in the provision of safe medication administration.
