Catalog description
This foundational course provides a theoretical basis to clinical nursing practice. It will begin with emphasis on professional identity, nursing roles and human flourishing. There will be emphasis on assessment of the patient through the use of developing nursing judgment, safety, health promotion, communication skills, and basic medical-surgical nursing content. It is designed to cultivate a safe level 1 nursing student in preparation for future patient-centered clinical courses.
