Catalog description

This course focuses on the theoretical concepts and practical skills utilized by social workers within healthcare environments to assist individuals and families with complex decisions. Utilizing case-based learning and online engagement, students will develop knowledge and skills for working within interdisciplinary teams to assess, support, and intervene in dynamic individual, family, and group systems facing health related challenges. Ethical decision-making processes and cultural awareness and humility are emphasized throughout the course. This course is available to admitted MSW students only. Prerequisites: MSW program admission
