Maternal Child Nursing with Practicum

Catalog description

This hybrid course prepares the professional nurse to provide safe, effective care for women, newborns, and children. Utilizing evidence-based principles to establish a foundation of safe and effective care for all, the professional nurse will examine safe medication administration, nutritional principles, and legal and ethical issues related to maternal, newborn, and pediatric care. The clinical component will allow the student the opportunity to practice theoretical knowledge in a clinical setting. Prerequisites: Admission to ADN program or permission of Program Director.
