Transition to Professional Nursing

Catalog description

This hybrid course is designed to facilitate the transition from the practical nurse to the professional nurse role including legal, ethical, and regulatory standards. Students will review the role of the professional nurse and nursing concepts including scope of practice, nursing process, communication, collaboration and teamwork, clinical judgement, and evidenced based practice. Prerequisites: Admission to ADN program or permission of Program Director.
