Catalog description

This course will examine the ethical issues relevant to administration in the sport and recreation industries. The course will examine the nature of ethics, various ethical theories, the significance of ethics, the current state of ethics today, and strategies for promoting ethical behavior. Students will develop the skill of thinking through moral dilemmas, particularly as they pertain to sports, recreation, exercise, games, and play. Students will also develop greater sophistication in writing, speaking, and persuasion. Prerequisites: Junior standing or consent of instructor.
