Catalog description

The application of statistical methods to decision problems in business and economics. Topics include sampling distributions and their properties, statistical inference, simple linear and multivariate regression analysis, application of regression and smoothing techniques to time series analysis, analysis of variance, distribution-free and chi-square test procedures, and concepts of statistical quality control. Prerequisites: MA 140 , or its equivalent, and MA 116 or higher or SAT Math score of at least 660 or ACT Math score of at least 28.
