Catalog description

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the lifecycle of business data, from foundational storage to executive-level communication. Students will first master the logic of relational databases, learning to structure, manage, and query data using Structured Query Language (SQL). The course then transitions into data visualization, where students will practice transforming raw data into interactive, high-impact dashboards. Designed specifically for business students without a computer science background, the course places emphasis on data literacy and bridges the gap between technical data architecture and strategic decision-making. Prerequisites: BU 250 and BU 248 or BU 258 , and EC 211 or MA 346
