Catalog description
Introduction to programming-based modeling for analytical and decision-support applications. Students will work in multiple environments, such as Python, Excel with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), and other professional development tools like Power BI. Topics include automation, visualization, and database access using SQL. The course culminates in the development of an applied modeling application that integrates data in various formats with analytical models. Prerequisites: CM 245 and MA 140
