Catalog description

This course will provide students exposure to the key legal and policy issues related to cybersecurity in a wide variety of areas in both the government and private sector. The course will examine federal laws, executive orders, regulations, and cases related to surveillance, data breaches, and privacy and civil liberties matters. Students will explore the intersection of law, technology, and policy in the midst of current events involving cyber attacks and best practices in effective responses to those attacks.
