Catalog description

An in-depth exploration of critical care medicine. The student is assigned to various clinical settings and will perform procedures related to the care of patients being mechanically ventilated. The student will also be given clinical experience in EKG’s and pulmonary function studies. During this course, the student will also be introduced to neonatal critical care medicine. An additional fee is associated with this course. Prerequisites: AL 289
