Respiratory Therapy Clinical I

Catalog description

An introduction to basic respiratory therapy procedures. Orientation to clinical practice, charting of records, infection control, emergency procedures, therapeutic procedures and diagnostic procedures are emphasized. The student will be introduced to routine respiratory care and equipment to complete procedural evaluations in respiratory care. Students are assigned to various clinical settings ranging from basic therapy, pulmonary rehabilitation, home care and pulmonary function lab. An additional fee is associated with this course.
