Section information text: This course is a tour of a selection of the most frequently used qualitative methods in capstone research. There is an opportunity to spend a bit of time in each place and get to know the basic landscape and major landmarks of each location. Students will review some of the various qualitative research methods, including case study, historical, phenomenological, narrative, and more. They will examine the role of research ethics and trustworthiness is qualitative research and explore some of the skills needed to develop a qualitative mindset. Students will also participate in CITI ethical training, which will further expand their understanding of ethical considerations in qualitative research.
