Section information text: The purpose of Residency 2 is to further socialize students into the Walden University doctoral community of scholar-practitioners. Doctoral students attend required seminars which include doctoral study development, academic support services, research and critical thinking skills, advanced APA style, and professional development. Doctoral students attend elective seminars which include advising, career services, research methodologies, doctoral study proposal writing resources, and writing skills sessions. Upon completion, students will have completed a self-assessment and identified goals for continual development of the skills and practices required of new doctoral students.
