Section information text: The purpose of Residency 2 is to continue building your capacity to perform doctoral research, assess research feasibility, and to develop initial ideas for dissertation studies. Topics include distinguishing between social problems and research problems, building the literature review, connecting research problems to research question and methods, examining theoretical frameworks, and aligning your research components. For the required final assignment, you will complete the “Aligning Research Components Matrix” with initial ideas for key components of a research problem and research design.
