Section information text: In this course, students learn how to describe a system and identify its core components, how to assess system effectiveness and efficiency, how to identify system deficiencies and gaps, and how-to design system-level interventions to address a public health issue and create organizational change strategies. The role of multicultural leadership and systems thinking in addressing public health problems is explored in detail. Students assess their own strengths and weaknesses in leadership capacities, including cultural proficiency and discuss shared decision-making through negotiation and consensus-building methods.
