The psychodynamic and humanistic perspectives on the psychotherapeutic process itself will be explored from a variety of viewpoints including the contemporary psychodynamic relational/interpersonal, person-centered, and existential-humanistic approaches. Emphasis is placed on skill building and practical application. This course has an in-person learning component, which means that students will divide their time between online coursework, virtual synchronous classes, and learning and skills practice in-person. With this format, students have the opportunity to integrate online didactic learning experience with skills practice and demonstration.
