Section information text: Addiction screenings and assessments are used to detect and determine the nature of an addiction so that appropriate treatment recommendations can be made. In this course, students explore how to conduct addiction screenings and assessments. Students also examine how to use the results to determine the appropriate level of care and to recommend referrals. In addition, students explore ethical, legal, and cultural considerations that are relevant to the screening and assessment process. Prerequisites PSYC 2014 or HUMN 2014
