Section information text: In this course, students study the three essential components of the system of government in the United States and also explore the fascinating and vast world of the federal bureaucracy and the role of state and local governments. Grounding themselves in this knowledge not only helps students be better informed about the concepts, principles, and processes related to the divisions of government in the United States but also become a more effective advocate for positive social change efforts. Note: Students who have previously taken POLI 1001 - American Government will not receive credit for this course.
